Vet Question!!Ten points!?
Favorite Answer
You will need a certain amount of classes in animal science, biology, chemistry, and math. You will also need to complete a certain amount of hours related to animals (like volunteering at a vet clinic or the SPCA).
There is a comprehensive test you will take as well, and they will take that test score into account.
I suggest starting now, no matter how young you are. Start volunteering at animal shelters, or at your vet’s office. And get good grades!
Vet school (after you get your bachelor’s degree) takes about 4 years, give or take, plus 1-2 years of residency. If you specialize (for example, if you want to focus on dermatology or internal medicine) it will take a few extra years, depending on your specialty.
