USF or UCF Florida Universities for Business?

I’m thinking about transferring schools to pursue a career in Business Management. I have narrowed it down to two schools USF or UCF. Which do you think is the better choice and Why?

Both are good choices, but I would go with the University of Central Florida. Here is why:

UCF, firstly, is in Orlando *vs* USF being in Tampa. As far as business studies go, the business climate in Orlando is much more progressive than Tampa thanks in part to the Disney factor. This comes into play as you undertake any internships that the business management degree may offer. Secondly, UCF is in a safe neighborhood (as a previous commentator mentioned). Thirdly, not to come down on USF, but UCF has a longer-established reputation in higher academics, so a business management degree will be viewed with more focus coming out of UCF than USF.

Go with UCF, but if it doesn’t work there, USF is not a bad backup. Good luck!

FSU. My brothers went there and they seem to love it there. (I went to UF) But it really depends on you what school is right for you. FSU is large and can overwhelm a lot of people. A smaller school would be better for some people that don’t want to take classes as big as 180 students in one classroom. Good luck trying to get face time with the profession in those classes. FAU, UCF and USF are great smaller schools even though UCF seems to be growing by leaps and bounds. UWF is out there in Pensacola and has a nice small campus. Very serene. But I don’t think it has the major you are looking for.

UCF

It’s in a better neighborhood. Read a lot safer.
