What is the MSN/MPH degree?

What kind of jobs can you get? I am having trouble finding out what the degree means and the job market for it.

The MSN/MPH is a dual degree. The MSN stands for Master’s of Science in Nursing. The MPH stands for Master’s of Public Health. The job market is wide open for any degree in the medical field. The Master’s of Science in Nursing allows you to teach nursing, practice, management, or any job in nursing. The MPH degree focuses on public health and involves jobs such as the public health department and epidemiology such as agencies like the Center’s for Disease Control (Atlanta, GA). Do an internet search on just Nursing employment and you will see all the opportunities available. Public health just happens to be one small part of health care. Good Luck!

An undergraduate student is working on bachelors degree. A graduate student is working on a masters degree or PhD. MSN/MPH is a masters in nursing / masters in public health degree. You need to earn a bachelors before you can apply for a masters. To get into a nursing program, most schools require you apply to both the school and the nursing program – you must be accepted to both. You can’t just get into a college and then later decide to major in nursing, you can only major in nursing if you are accepted to the nursing program. Try your state colleges and universities for the most affordable programs.
