I don’t know that there is an actual requirement for the A&M Vet school-they consider many things, including your GRE scores, your resume (work experience, community service, etc). They want to make sure they have well rounded students in their program-so a little advice

-first, of course make sure your grades are good-at the very least a 3.0-try to make it above a 3.5 if possible, meaning that you would be getting mostly A’s and some B’s in your classes

-next, study study study for your GRE-make sure your scores are competitive-there are books at Barnes and Noble and other bookstores to help you do this.

-Finally, make sure you have a good resume. If you aren’t already, start volunteering at the local animal shelter or SPCA. Get in a few hours every week, get to know people up there so you can list them as references on your resume. Also, if you have time, try to find a part time job at a veterinary clinic-just helping out, answering phones, etc. Let them know you are interested into going into Vet school, this should help you find a job.

If you have further questions, simply call the Vet Dean’s office and ask the secretary up there-these people have a wealth of information and can help you out.

Good luck!!!
