For you to become a pharmacist this is what is required.

math and science

salary is between $75,000 and $ 150,000 depending on where you are needed

you will need a minimum GPA ( grade point average )

the degree you will need is a bachelor

or as January 1st 2003 Doctor of Pharmacy

Your licence will have to be renewed.

Median Income for a pharmacist is $100,720

Most schools want a 3.0 GPA some schools will dip into 2.75

Any degree will work as long as you take a core of chemistry, math, and biology classes. Although I recommend you be a chemistry or biology major those will best prepare you. Keep in mind pharmacy school is very hard and demanding.

The classes you need to take depend on the Pharmacy School(s) that you want to go to. As a general rule, though, you will need to take:

One Year of:

Biology for Science Majors

Chemistry for Science Majors

Organic Chemistry

Physics (some schools do not require physics)

plus all of your other GE requirements for graduation.

There is no required GPA to keep to get into Pharmacy School, but most Pharm School applicants have between a 3.5 and 3.8.

Salaries depend on where you work, and in what setting you work. The range is $85 – 130,000, again, depending on where you work.

To be a pharmacist, you should be strong in math to understand the chemistry and other science you need for this major. The payscale starts at 79 thousand to start and after ten years its about 95 thousand.
