Should I take these classes or not?

I’m a freshman in college and since I will take remedial courses they don’t allow me to take most of the classes ( my major is liberal arts ) I can only take arts (the basic) and since i wanted to be a full time student i chose 3 arts classes(so i can get some credits) + the esl classes (6hours)

these arts classes are : intro to painting , intro to sculpture , and illustration 1 ……

I want to take these classes so i can get credits because i need to 24 credits to transfer to a 4 year college …. but this classes is just like a waste of time for me since im not interested in arts so far and im also wasting money

what should i do???

It’s hard to answer your question, because it depends on whether you like or are good at art. You can learn so much from all of these courses (in fact, from any course), but a lot depends on how motivated you are. If you’re not interested in these courses, you could try taking courses you ARE interested in at another college (if there’s one nearby), and then TRANSFER those credits back to the college you want to enrol in. You would need to check out with the registrar of the college you want to enrol in whether they would accept credits from another institution. They usually do.

I would take all General Education classes. You want credits that will transfer. Take math or econ or something that will be required after you transfer. That way you’re not waisting time or money.
