Are there any universities that offer late acceptance up to the first day of class?

I didn’t decide what to do until the last minute, and I’m trying to avoid having to take classes at a community college this semester. I know of a private university that does this, but it is extreemly expensive. Thank you!

Some public universities also do this, but it really depends on whether their classes are full or not. If enrollment is down, you may be able to squeak in. But if the classes are full, you won’t.

I’m sure some do, but I don’t know of any. What you can do though is apply as a non-degree student for this semester, then as a regular student for the spring semester. Call the school you’re interested in on Monday morning to get more info or go to the university’s website. The application is usually just a page that you fill out and you don’t need any recommendations. Call the school’s admissions office anyways….you never know, they might make an exception for you to apply as a degree-seeking student this semester. Good luck.

Yes, but it only happens at schools which are desperate for students, which means that they are probably not very good. You might do better at a good community college.

non-degree means you’re just taking a few classes for whatever reason, you’re not planning on getting an associate or bachelor degree.
