Accounting is actually a growing field because though there are many software programs that can handle the data entry portion, there still needs to be someone who can interpret all that data and make financial decisions based upon it. And an accounting background will come in handy no matter what field you work in.
However, the need for medical professionals will never decrease, so the key lies in what your passions, strengths and weaknesses are. Good luck!

If you work in accounting you’ll be stuck in a crappy little office somewhere and be associated with the most boring people in the world and if you work in the health field you might actually get to help someone but most likely you’ll become part of one of the most corrupt corporate systems ever devised to create profit from human suffering. Why don’t you go into politics and advocate for universal health care.
