The fact that you can’t spell will have a greater effect. I’d be concerned about why you missed the appointments. Those reason could definitely effect your college success.

Haha! I got kicked out for not getting enough points sophomore year, and I never reapplied. I also didn’t get into the college of my choice. Coincidence? Probably. If you’re worried about it, reapply next semester and pick up some other activities/clubs in the meantime.

Yeah, don’t beat yourself up over it. But general advice- it’s good to do a lot of diverse extracurricular activities, so don’t stop with nhs.

Actually, that depends on how you can make up for it.

NHS is a big part in high school. If you have no time left to make up for being removed from NHS, I believe it would affect your applications. If you still have time, no problem! When people have lost something, they fight harder to gain another thing. So if you have time, forget it and do even better on things NHS people aren’t doing! >=] motivation 🙂

Also, NHS is more greatly afflicted when you are dealing with Ivy League schools or intensely high standard schools like MIT.

Good lucks! Never give up hope~

If they find out you didn’t make because you missed appointments then they’ll think you’re irresponsible and immature. That will negatively affect your college application. Of course, if you wrote your application with the same spelling you used here they’ll be less than impressed with you anyhow.
