You can either go and get your Associates and then your Bachelors or you can go straight to getting your Bachelors degree. However once you have your Bachelors degree it’s unnecessary to get your Associates degree. The Associates degree is a lower degree than a Bachelor’s. After your Bachelors degree you can go on to get a Masters degree. You need to have a Bachelors degree in order to get a Masters degree.

You would get an Associates degree before a Bachelors if your high school grades were not that great or if you’re not ready for a Bachelors degree from a 4 year college. Associate degrees are usually given at community colleges and will take 2 years, where a Bachelors degree is given at a 4 year college/university. A Master’s degree will usually take about 2 years (all these years are on average)

Undergraduate programs are where you receive your Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts (Both are Bachelors programs and which one you will receive will depend on the major you pursue). The Graduate program is after Undergraduate where you are working toward you Masters degree.

Undergraduate is what you go to directly out of college. You can get an associates degrees in 2 years at an undergrad school or a bachelor degree in 4 years. You do not need to get an associates degree in order to get a bachelors degree. After your undergrad program you can go on to graduate school for either a masters degree or a PhD

Almost a college grad!!!
An associate degree is ususally a two year degree, a bachelor’s degree is a four year degree. Right after h.s. you can go get an associate or bachelor’s degree. In order to get a master’s degree you will need a bachelor’s degree. In order to get a bachelor’s you don’t need an associate.

AA or AS is a two year degree usually obtained at a community college…basic classes like history, English, math and so on…or go to a four year college and get a BS or BA…the first two years are basic classes usually and the last two years focus more on your major area of study, in my case I was in home economics, so my last two years where teaching courses, nutrition and food prep, family dynamics etc. A Graduate degree is earned after you earn your four year degree(usually another two years of course work, plus presenting a paper on your studies) and if that is not enough you can go for a PhD, which is earned after Graduate school…generally another four years of school, work and presentations.

I would say TMI. It’s good to show growth, but they may be crossing the boundaries. What prompted this break away from the “good girl?” Oftentimes your essays are your opportunity to stand out from other applicants and you don’t want to stand out in a good way. That doesn’t mean you need to appear perfect, but it’s an opportunity you don’t want to waste. What is it about you that some can’t see on your transcript or your list of extracurriculars? So you were Yearbook editor (just an example I don’t know if that’s true or not), every school has a Yearbook editor. What difference did you make in that role? What’s a difficult situation you’ve faced and overcome – how to you respond to setbacks? Just think about it some more.
