Majoring in Computer Science?
I am a senior in high school, and I have taken a Visual Basic class, AP Comp Science A (java), and AP Comp Science AB(java).
I love programming and working with computers. These classes really sparked my interests, and I now have decided to tentatively major in CS.
I want to attend school in PA, VA, TN, or anywhere around there.
What are some good schools I should look into?
If you are majoring in CS, where do you attend school?
THANK YOU!
SAT: 2010

Carnegie Mellon is one of the top five CS departments in the country, and you are likely to be admitted there. You should definitely consider it. They are good in most other subjects, too, so if you change your mind, you’ll still be OK.
Otherwise, more or less the usual places in those states – Penn State, UVa, Va Tech, Pitt among the public schools. Also consider the University of Maryland. Vanderbilt as the other private school in those states, and maybe also consider Case Western Reserve in Cleveland.
