law school and applications?
Do law school professors get to look at your application after you’ve been accepted? Are they going to grill you on the first day about your background/hobbies/talents??????????
Thank you

no offense. but they could care less what you do or don’t put on your resume. In Law School, the professors teach by using the Socratic Method (after Socrates). They call your name, you stand and you and the professor go back and forth arguing about the law. It is a way to teach you how to “think like a attorney.” Your first year will be your hardest. Second year you get the hang of it but still study your butt off. Third year, you do a lot of pro bono work and work in a law firm as an intern. Then you take the Bar. Good luck!

They probably could, but it really wouldn’t matter to them. Unlike college or high school, the first day of class isn’t a warm fuzzy “lets get to know each other” session. My first day of law school, the property professor at 8:00 a.m. sharp called on the first student to “State the Case”. And at 8:00:06 a.m. she called out the first late student and informed him that he had the first absence of the semester when he walked in.
Perhaps in a legal writing class the professor will ask about the student’s background, if for no other reason to see if anyone might know how to write. But in the substantive classes, the professor will usually get right down to work…
Read OneL by Scott Turow. It’s the story of his first year at Harvard, which is pretty much the same anywhere. Just take out the political context of going to school in the mid 70’s, and focus on what was going on in the class…

It would be very unusual for a law professor to look into your personal background. They have cases to grill you about.

i’m unsure that a regulation college application is somewhat the placement to debate your intercourse life. the human beings reviewing your application are going to be attracted to why you will succeed in regulation college, no longer the forms of persons you want to f***. i comprehend that your sexuality is a very vast deal to you and it consumes a huge area of your expertise, yet no person else cares or is very inspired the two way. gay human beings come out all over the rustic daily, perpetually, and this is in simple terms no longer that exciting of a tale. Sorry. you should make your self sound unique, in comparison to a much less high priced cliche. upload: and easily to make sparkling, i’m no longer attempting to be harsh. approximately 10-15% of the inhabitants is gay. that’s 30-40 5 million human beings in this united states…greater effective than all the super plains states androcky mountain states prepare. Your popping out tale isn’t in the slightest diploma unique. this is shared by thousands and thousands of persons and, no offense, no person supplies a s***. you will possibly stand out greater and have a greater compelling essay in case you grew up in Minot, North Dakota.

I have never heard of this. They will grill you, but not on your hobbies. They will grill you on what was the issue in a case, that was written in the 1600’s that you barely understood what was going on.

To the best of my knowledge Professors have no part of the application process, and they’re there to teach, not to try to ferret out people who stretched the truth with their applications.
I wouldn’t worry about it.
