There is absolutely no prerequisite for law school applicants requiring that they take language courses. However, if you intend to apply to law schools in Puerto Rico, there will be an additional language requirement as all the course work is taught in Spanish.

There is no set of courses that will properly prepare you for law school. As such, schools typically look to your overall performance in whatever subject matter you choose to pursue. However, there may be a slight preference given to the liberal arts (history, english, government, etc) as courses in these subjects usually have heavy writing components.

What do you mean by Spanish 1, 2, and 3? Are you still in high school? If so, it will make absolutely no difference. Law schools don’t care what you did in high school at all. They’re only interested in your college work. Remember you must go to college first, and get your bachelor’s degree in a field before you can go to law school. Most people choose to be political science, philosophy, or criminal justice majors.

So unless those Spanish classes will allow you to get college credit, then there’s not much point unless you want to look good for the college you’re trying to get into. Even then, it’s not necessarily required. Each law school is different.
