The national film school of the UK, is very good, they have a very detailed MA course for editing that a lot of successful people have attended at http://www.nftsfilm-tv.ac.uk/index.php?module=Course&course_id=148

From personal experience, I would say stick with a specific area of study and don’t go to university to do “Film studies” as that’s a waste of time. You need to get skills quickly and editing is a great skill to learn and master.
