It’s best to stick to GE classes, even if you do decide on a major before you transfer. A lot of colleges will accept GE transfer credits, but not major credits. Besides, most people change their majors more than once (I changed mine 6 times!). So, no worries. The only thing to be aware of is whether classes will transfer. If you know what 4-year college you want to go to, you should check with them to find out their transfer policy. If not, as soon as you start looking at 4-years, ask about their credit-transfer requirements.

Good luck! And take your time!

I agree, although I knew my major since day one and never changed it. But even if you are in my same situation, you will need to take tons of gen ed courses. Concentrate on Math, English, Science, History, etc. These will definitely transfer easily. Also, take into consideration if the comm. college is linked to any state university. If it is and you’re transfering there, then most if not all should transfer with you. Just make sure you research your transfer options fully and not lose a whole semester’s worth of full time credits. Good luck!

You’ll probably change your major more than once before you finish, so take general ed classes your first two years!!!! Everybody takes the same type of classes!!!!
