It depends on how long you’ve been in ITT tech now. Unfortunately ITT tech has one of the worst transfer programs around, with something like 75% and up of their classes not being able to transfer to other schools. This became such an issue with students that the ITT tech commercials now list it as a disclaimer, something like “many of our classes will not transfer to other institutions”. So if you just have around 3 or 4 classes done, then by all means go ahead and do so. Community colleges are always cheaper and they offer much more programs to graduate from. But if you’re into something like 30 or 40 hours already, unless you can bite the bullet and accept having to take many of those classes over at a community college since they won’t transfer, it might be better time-wise to stick it out and obtain the last few classes there.

Oh and my reference of this came from two friends of mine who went to ITT tech and found it later on so difficult to transfer to another school afterwards.

I would. ITT Tech’s has some courses that have non-transferable credits (it even says this on the bottom of their commercials.) If you’re planning on eventually transfering to a University, then yes, go to the community college. Their credits are transferable and CC’s usually have programs with the surrounding universities/colleges that can help you get there. Talk to both schools, get all the information you can before making that decision. Good luck!
