Let me give you some real advice:

-Take a very easy major

-Ace it (i.e. get a 3.9-4.0 GPA)

Why?

Because Law Schools, don’t give a damn about what you major in or where you go to college. That means that if you go to community college and take an easy major like communications, and get a 4.0, you will be much more competitive than the poor schlemp who took biochemistry at Harvard and only pulled a 3.4.

Is that Harvardite smarter? Is he better equipped with his degree? YES!..

..But is he more competitive according to the LSAC, the folks who compile GPA’s and LSAT scores?

NO! Rat bastards!

God bless the lawyers for having no sense of academic discrimination/fairness.

Funny thing, med schools actualy DO care about all the things aforementioned that law schools don’t care about (and they should: a communications major from a community college- not saying that’s you- is about as qualified as a mediocre high school student taking all AP classes.) But law schools are “by the numbers” and they seem to think that GPA’s can be easily compared, which in fact they cannot since the difficulty of the school and the major matters a lot more than two similar numbers.

But it is in your favor TO TAKE THE EASIEST MAJOR POSSIBLE AND TO PULL GREAT GRADES. Seriously, MAJOR DOESN’T MATTER. The “pre-law” nonsense is just that. There is no such thing as pre-law.

Law is the fall-back option of all unscrupulous, money-hungry, academically un-inclined college graduates.

i.e. you Machiavellian Dirty Ol’ Bastards

I would say it would be a great degree because everthing is about communication.

If you have a “Fear of speaking” a communications degree would help with that. It would cover topics like writing, speaking, and how to win people through these skills.

I think if I were to become a lawyer, I would choose an Economics degree, just a personal choice. I believe a degree in communications would allow you to become a great lawyer!

I would suggest something in the line of specialty you want to persue in the lawyer/legal field…criminal justice; legal papers-courts,etc; real estate law; juvenile justice; etc.

Probably a waste of time, unless you plan on going into politics. Try pre-law, or better yet ancient history as a major.
