What would you like mailed to your dorm?
What is something you would like mailed from home….besides money of course….lol…what would be something fun to recieve at college for a surprise? FROM YOUR MOTHER

I never went away to college, instead I went away to get married and go to community college. But thats all besides the point.
I had friends that went to away to college that I used to send care packages to.
Snacks like potato chips were always a favorite request.
Also air fresheners. Most dorms don’t allow candles and frankly some of them stink, so its a nice to have.
Pictures from home, maybe of a pet or younger siblings.
Another thing was magazines, something to read other than textbooks.
Just some thoughts.

Anything! It is from your Mom…so it will be super special. My suggestion would be something they really like or makes them “feel” like home.
My office is in a residence hall, and I have seen all kinds of things delivered to the students. They seem to be just excited to get a package from home regardless of what is in there.

I love when my mom sends me things I don’t necessarily need. Like something that she saw and thought I needed. Sometimes she sends purses or a shirt. But my favorite was when she ordered me a Harry and David’s Fruit and Cheese basket for finals. That was amazing!

When I was in college, I really enjoyed getting anything edible–anything to avoid eating in the cafeteria! Especially homemade goodies are welcome, such as cookies, brownies, etc., but also granola bars, microwave popcorn, soup, candy…the sky’s the limit!
Another option is a gift card for a coffee shop–we all need our caffeine. 🙂

i agree, food, if they have a favorite food or dessert i would send that. its not like they will be gettins moms food or will be eating healthy.

It always made me angry when my mom sent me stuff. I have always been fiercely independent and when someone sends me food or money I take it as them telling me I cant take care of myself. There have been major arguements over this in my family. Stick with pictures or letters.
