I don’t know if I understood your question, but it seems you’re focusing college by the social life side, when is much more than that. Some girls are there just meanwhile they marry; some people just try a scholarship abroad. You’re old enough to drive, but still young enough to do it while you’re drunk. The social environment is deeply sexualized, even “on reverse”. All these behaviors are just “take it or leave it” up to you, but the one thing you do never get away from, is the one that leads you there: education, or, “education”. The teachers and the students, will pressure you to “learn” a moral scheme, in which the bad ones are the “imperialists” from the U.S.A., and the good ones are those who fight them: the “revolutionaries”. And they call that “intelectuallity”. If you don’t agree with their democrat point of view, you’ll get bad marks AND, social dissaproval. Everyone will treat you like a kid if you don’t agree, but you’ll be an adult if you do. If you love your individuality, you’ll be ABSOLUTELY lonely. Even the concept of individuality is handable. And there’s no other kind of college. That’s all there is. No matter what you pay, that’s all you’ll get. And without it, you might go into poverty. You, choose the lesser evil.

I wonder what the other answerers will tell you.

College is kind of like high school, only 100 times better.

I guess there could be peer pressure if you don’t like to drink and party, and for the most part everyone in college does, so in that sense you could get pressured into drinking and partying. But besides that, no pressure.

No clicks. Unless you count some of the sorority/fraternity stuff. Drama – again, none, unless you’re in a sorority or something.

Pros of college: Freedom! There are no clicks or drama, mostly everyone’s laid-back. People are free to be themselves without being judged. Since it’s bigger than highschool, everyone’s kind of anonymous, which is nice.

Cons: School material is going to be harder, obviously. Higher expectations academically. Ummm.. can’t think much other than that.

If you live in a dorm, you’ll probably run into the lame high school stuff. I went to a junior college, and I didn’t run into any of that. I could go to class and then leave — or if I felt like being social, I would hang out.

When I transferred to a 4 year college to work on my core classes for my major, I had the same people in my classes over and over again. I had a couple people who tried to start some drama with me, but I solved it easily by choosing a schedule opposite of them!!! I didn’t want them getting in the way of my education.

I would highly suggest going to college!!! I decided to work straight out of high school. I quickly found that the pay I received was not enough to live on. I received a second chance, and I am so glad I am completing my education!!! You will not regret it!! Do yourself a favor and go to college!!!

There are more “peers” to choose from on the college level; also, everybody’s too busy to do the gossip and tattle thing like high school.

college is fun, you are basically on your own, and you have to figure out which direction is best for you. It is better than high school because its more serious.
