AP Psychology is a good course to take because you can earn college credit for it. The class was fun because I had a fun and caring teacher and the students in my class were awesome and participated in class. What I remember best are the activities we did such as walking around blindfolded in school when we learned about the Sensations and Perception unit.

My friend is taking AP Psychology, and I’m taking regular psychology.

From her description, regular psychology is much more interesting.

All they do is bookwork, and while finding out about all the stuff is interesting, book work sucks.

In my psychology class, he does fun exercises, like we made a brain stem out of play-doh, and got the definitions for the parts as we went along, he uses real life examples in his lectures, we watch videos from time to time which are very interesting.

AP is great if you want that on your records, but you could easily fail it

If your college major will require Psychology 101 (Intro) then taking AP Psych will get you out of it and let you move through your Undegraduate work faster. And ANY AP classes/tests passed look good on your college applications.

How is it going to help you in your career…?

Most people I know who took a course in Psychology thought they were going to be this or that, and ended up just working in an office.

If you think it will help you with your future goal then go for it. If not, then why bother.
