Anyway, I know women who are more than six feet tall and women who are less than five feet tall, and I try not to judge ’em by the amount of space the good lord put between the top of their head and the soles of their feet.

The average height for a woman in the United States is 5’4″.

With that, 5’5″ or 5’6″ is right around average.

To me, anyone between 5’3″ – 5’7″ is about average.

Over 5’8″ is tall.

Over 6’0″ is too tall.

Less than 5’3″ – 4’11” is short.

Less than 4’11 is too short.

I’m also a university student, and most girls, including freshmen, seem to be right around the 5’5 or 5’6 range.

5-9 or above can be considered as too tall..

5-0 to 5-2 is too short

above 5-3 to 5-6 is average
