If I have a bachelors in IT, how long would it take to for me to become a computer scientist?

Do u think most of my credits would transfer? Worse case scenrio, how long would it take?

Depends on how long it has been since you graduated. Assuming your credits are still applicable it is generally not many classes but really depends on the university. If I recall, there was roughly a 5 class difference between the 2 degrees where I went IF you planned accordingly with electives (taking classes that counted for either major).

I would say, if you are attending a different school than you graduated from, the limiting factor would not be the number of classes to earn the degree, but rather, the number of credits the new university requires you to have earned there before granting a degree (typically around 32 credits which is basically 8 classes in CS).

I would suggest just setting up a meeting with an admissions councilor. They will be able to tell you what would transfer and exactly how many credits/classes you need.
