I want to be a game director. What should I major in in college?
I don’t want to be a programmer or artist or a “designer,” I want to actually direct games. …I know that’s kinda like saying, “Hey, I want to be a CEO!” but still >__> Anyone have any idea?
BTW I was planning on being an art major and focusing on illustration or animation, but I’m not sure if that’s gonna give me the education I need.

How about Film/Animation? They focus on film directing as well as animation directing. Also, there are gaming courses you could take– or you could minor in gaming.
Look into some colleges that you want to goto in their art department. Every college is different, some may have what you need while others will not.
