I’m an MBA Graduate, do I need to put “MBA” after my name? Is it necessary? or just a sign of arrogance?

In fact, it’s pretentious to include degrees other than doctorates in this manner (and, in many circumstances, it’s pretentious even to include doctorates in this manner).
I can think of two exceptions. One is for correspondence with your alma mater, in which case putting MBA and the year after your name is preferrable. The other is if you were working for a company that does business consulting – on the company’s web site, and brochures, etc., if there’s a roster of consultants, it would be appropriate to note which ones have MBAs (and perhaps from which school and in which year). In all other situations of which I can think, it would be counterproductive to do this.
purely a sign of arrogance. Why not hang your degree in your office as well.
It is NOT appropriate, however, to cite your degree in personal correspondence…that WOULD be arrogance.
God Bless.

I think it depends on the context of where you are putting your name. Job application: Maybe. Personal note to a friend: Hell no, unless you want them to put bad words after your name!
I love the social workers that list every degree and certification they have after their name. Too funny.
Funny stuff.
