I have some questions about archaeology?

What do they do? Do they spend most of there time outside?Do they spend alot of time away from home(on like trips to different countries)?How much do they get paid(and plz dont give me that b.s. about it should’nt matter how much you get paid cause it does lol i dont wanna be poor :P)?And what courses should i take in high school if i want to become one and what university courses?
