What undergraduate major should I get to be able to translate or interpret for a living?
I am fluent in spanish, from argentina, very good french speaker, fluent in english. My school offers applied linguistics…or should I be doing something else? What classes should I take?

Applied linguistics should do it for you. I had a friend who got her degree in Spanish and French. She moved on to translate for a European company. Since you’re already fluent in those languages, applied linguistics just seems a logical choice for you.

If your school has an IR program (international relations), that would probably be your best bet, since this will open up doors to ambassador, translator, UN, etc. jobs.
If not, you should focus on majoring in a specific language. You’ll want to obviously take language courses, maybe some courses on art, history, literature on that culture / country.
