I have an Alpha Kappa Alpha Question.?
I know that its better to have letters of recommendation from an active member of the organization but, what if you don’t know anybody that is an active member? How would you going about getting to know one of them so that they feel comfortable about writting you a letter of recommendation? Thanks!

I am not a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha but I would definitely recommend that you obtain a recommendation from an active member of the sorority. By getting involved in other community based organizations you should be able to meet members of the sorority. In addition you might be able to meet members at your place of employment, church etc. Good luck with your pursuits.

Different chapters ask for different things. Check with the chapter on your campus to see if they require a letter from an active member.
