Why do so many people ask if they can get into a certain college?
So many people seem to ask the same question “Can I get in here?” How can anyone know? Just wondering the motivation…

It’s probably because they are too lazy to look it up themselves. All of the information they are requesting is available to them either through the college website, information packets, or through a guidance counselor. It’s stupid because even if they “have everything” they are still unlikely to get into the Ivy League school of their mediocre dreams.

I think people do that to see if their general grades, SAT/ACT scores, and activities will make them be considered. Maybe even someone who was accepted there could give them advice about what else they need. Or, maybe an admission counseler from the college sees it and gives them advice.
