Do you mean while trying to take classes? Either you could drop a few classes and take part time, and night courses, or you’d have to turn down the job and wait till you graduate, or work only part time or work during the summer.

If you mean after you graduate, just get good grades, but don’t focus only on that. Do some volunteering and make sure you have some hobbies that show you don’t just care about theoretcial stuff. My dad (who does some HR work) suggests that if you have a B average and hobbies/volunteering, typically you’ll be more attractive to employers than one with all A+ and nothing else.

If you can survive without a job I would advise that. Too many people in college try to do everything and end up getting sick, burnt out and just plain sleep deprived. Then they end up quiting college b/c something has to give.College in its self is a full time job. I know that your going to be in dept, but its a good debt b/c its for your future. Plus in a few years when your making the big bucks you will pay off all your loans and then everything will be OK> I know not having a job isn’t easy. I’m in the same boat right now myself. I have a baby and I’m a full time college student. There are places that will work with you if your honest from the begining, plus it shows real charter. If you can’t find them you can find them at your school. I wish you the best of luck with your study’s in school.

I’m a full time college student, and if I had to work full time and go to school full time, I think I would cry a whole lot. If the job is important to you or a career-path type of job, then I would say drop enough credits after this semester to be a part-time student. If school is more important, then drop to working part-time. You could try to balance the two if they’re equally important, but remember you still need time to do you homework and it’s kind of nice to have friends (and pay attention to your significant other, if you have one.) Right now, your main focus should be on excelling in school to put yourself on the best career path you can. Good luck; you’re in a tough spot!
