First and formost if the application asks for any specifics you want to address these areas. You would not believe how many MSW essays I read that have not addressed the areas that the application addresses (I have not seen any application that does not ask you to address areas. The other critical point is to address your qualifications for not just social work specifically but the program you are applying to (read the mission statement, program objectives and other material and relate your goals to how the program is described. What sorts of personal experiences have you had, that will lead you to being a good social worker. Career goals. Your relevant work experience, and undergraduate coursework.
