Just wondering . . .?

I was just thinking about college selection. Lately, I’ve been thinking about Johns Hopkins, which is a really, and I mean REALLY good school, and REALLY hard to get in. I’ve heard from my friends to get into someplace like Johns Hopkins, you need to have taken at least 7 Advanced placement classes in high school. What happens if I only take like 5 or 6 advanced placement classes? Will I definitely be rejected?

My understanding is that if your school doesn’t have AP classes, the school can’t expect you to take them, but if it does, then they want to know that you took the most rigorous schedule you could at your high school.

That is a question that can be answered only by Johns Hopkins. However, your school guidance counselor may be able to give you a better answer to this question than anyone here can. Check with your counselor.
