Have you heard of North Central College in Illinois?

Just wondering if anyone has heard of North Central College in Naperville, Illinois? I hear it’s a pretty good school, however it’s pretty small, only about 5,000 or so, so I think it may be so small that no-one has heard of it to know it’s a good school when it comes to looking for jobs after graduation. They like to think of themselves as an Ivy League school…lol…although I think they are the only ones who think of the school like that…lol…though it is supposed to be a pretty good school.

The quality of your education rests with you…not the school, professors or books. Some significant people were self taught or didn’t have a Ivy-league college diploma (e.g Abraham Lincoln, Buckminster Fuller, et al).

Did you visit their website? http://www.noctrl.edu/

See pics of the school? http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=North+Central+College,+IL&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

Don’t sell small school short. I taught at a small community college, but some of the faculty trained the astronauts for walking on the moon. I graduated from a rather small and “unknown” school for my discipline…yet beat out applicants with higher degrees than mine and who graduated from top name schools in my field…yet I got the job…and now, when I retired early, was granted top academic rank recognition for my contributions.

But again, the quality of your education rests with you. Small campuses have an advantage for you…less competition, more opportunity for access to faculty..and sometime also lower costs (if not in tuition, then in cost of living…which can be significantly lower than other parts of the country).

Hope this helps….best wishes in your studies.
