Life Sciences at UofT or McMaster? In Canada BTW?

im just wondering…what kind of marks would i need to get into the life sciences program at either university? and which one is better? also the average required for a scholarship?

life science you need above an 80%, high 80s i think. I’m not sure about mcmaster though.

and let me tell you this kid… (it really doesn’t matter where you get your undergrad!!) UofT provides a lot of opportunities to get lab experience, and experimental experience (especially in psychology). really… if you’re just going for biology.. and applying to some grad school, or med school after….. it really really doesn’t matter. pick where you’d feel more comfortable. i like toronto, and i couldnt stand living in a city as small as hamilton… so I picked UofT.

What you do in high school is a joke compared to university. Just because you got A’s in high school means nothing. I know people with 90 averages in UofT who are struggling in life sciences first year. People complain about this because its true. Don’t let UofT’s reputation fool you. UofT is one of the top RESEARCH universities, not the top for undergraduate education.
