Grad school, good idea?

i really want to go to a grad school, but have no idea where to start and not sure if i should.

i am currently in college, an undergrad. working on my bachelors, i am majoring in health service administration, i took out loans for finishing my bachelors and will graduate in less than two years.

i have very little work experience but am working this year, that would equal two jobs that i have had. hopefully i can pay off my loans in about two years after i graduate.

i have always dreamed of going to a very good, prestigious grad school, i don’t know why, but i feel that if i don’t i will regret it, but i have no idea what to go there for or what to take. what could i take, and should i go to one? any ideas?

If you can’t think of a good reason why you want to go to grad school, I would be hesitant to just tell you to go and do it. Grad school can be very expensive, depending on where you go, and you already have loans. I’m not familiar with health service administration, but what kind of grad program would you be trying to get into? If the graduate degree you would be getting will provide you with better job prospects and a higher salary, then you should go for it. But I wouldn’t get one just to get one because you want one! I think you first need to do some research into grad school, what program you would be trying to get into, do you want to go through the difficult classes, before you can make that decision.

ummmm

i’m currently enrolled in a master’s in journalism program and i tell you, i regret it. i should not have enrolled at all.

i should have just instead looked for a better job, or studied another language.

but if having a graduate degree is your thing then go for it. i can also feel that you’re passionate about it. why? because you’re still in college and yet, you’re already raring for more studies. that’s a sign that you’re really interested in graduate work.

just finish your bachelor’s first, and then look for a good job.

good luck

No, I evaluate Grad college to be lots diverse out of your undergrad. As an undergrad, if something have been to ensue and you may desire to no longer attend college; you haven’t any longer any training to fall back on. i do no longer think getting married without a proper training (or perhaps occupation training) is sensible. Grad pupils tend to be older pupils who’re pursuing occupation objectives, no longer basically academic. At my college, maximum grad pupils paintings finished-time (some area-time) and then bypass to college at nighttime or on the weekends. i come across very few grad pupils who do no longer paintings. till, you’re pursuing grad college at a place like Yale, Harvard, etc. i think of you should be working. If no longer on your field, a minimum of in a occupation that’s paying the charges. that’s diverse out of your undergrad, the place you have been working to basically placed gasoline on your motor vehicle or for weekend beer money. i think of getting engaged in grad college is high-quality. If something have been to ensue to you and you may desire to no longer bypass to college; a minimum of you have a bachelor’s degree to fall back on.
