Getting a job after school?
what’s the best way to go about applying for a job with a big firm if i am from a school that isn’t exactly ivy league.
My major is Management Information Systems (MIS) and i am interested in Investment Banking; Operations and Analyst positions

Since you said you are interested in Investment Banking, I suggest you apply to banks in your area and see if they are hiring. Bring an updated resume tailored for each position to which you apply. Employers look for recent graduates that have completed a bachelors degree. The college name is not as important as the fact that you earned your degree. It shows a prospective employer several things about you:
Ability to set and accomplish goals
Ability to work under multiple deadlines in a timely manner
Time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Analytical and critical thinking skills
etc.
