Hi Bekka, while Keith is right, the Towers are absolutely wonderful, I suggest you start out in one of the many dorms UCF has to offer. I believe that living in a dorm is esential to get the full college experience. I lived in Academic Village during my Freshman year. It’s the newest of any of the dorms and it’s centrally located to many useful things such as: both pools (lap and leisure,) the gym (which a movie was filmed in,) mail room, and Marketplace (dining hall.) And the best thing is, you will only live with people your own age… only Freshman are allowed to live in the Academic Village dorms. Your roommates can be a “support” system during your first year of college, they will be going through the same things you will be, such as being away from home for the first time, taking college level courses for the first time and experiencing the freedom you get while living at school.

If you don’t want a roommate and would like a private room, you can apply to live in the Towers. There are four Towers total. The newest Tower opened this year, and Tower III is reserved for the Burnett Honors College students. Tower I and II opened a few years ago, but they are equally nice (I live in one of them.) When living in the Towers, you have the option of buying a reserved parking space in the East or West parking garage.

The only reservation I have about the Towers, is the cost. The Towers cost significantly more than any other on campus housing. You will need to discuss this with whomever will be paying your housing, tuition and such.

I hope that I have helped, if you have any more questions about the housing, please feel free to message me!

Good luck!

The best place is the Towers. Very modern, and brand new. just opened this fall (2007) 100% on the towers.
