For college and university students, question about Blackboard…?

The professor of my current class says she created a course on Blackboard where she posted a syllabus and some documents. Now usually when I logon to Blackboard the courses I am registered for (that use Blackboard) are there automatically, but this one is not. Is there something where I need to click on to see this class? I cannot for the life of me figure out why it is not showing up. If it helps, I am using Blackboard Academic Suite (7.1.467.26)….

I remember that happening to some people in undergrad. Email your professor and ask her to double check that you’ve been added to Blackboard as a member of her class.

Your professor may have forgot to activate the course. They have to click a link to make it available to students. Or, you may not be registered for the class in Blackboard and your professor might have to manually add you. This sometimes happens inadvertently or when you add a class late.

Either way, you might want to send your professor an email telling her that the course doesn’t show up.

It should be in there!! Blackboard is known to have problems sometimes. Contact the administrator and let them know that you cannot see these items. I had to do the same before.
