Extra Letters of Recommendation (given my situation); is this a bad idea?
anyhow, I’m applying to a very selective school, Berea College. I just recently was able to re-enroll, but when I apply in 2 months, my transcript will still be most of my last semester (which I am catching up on), even with my 3.8 gpa and AP class.
The school requires 2 letters of recommendation, both from teachers. I have those set.
However, this school is largely based around Christianity and service learning. I’m considering having the Hospitality Coordinator at my church, who I have voluenteered every sunday for since I was 12 in cooking meals for the “bus kids,” write me a letter of recomendation.
Is this a good idea?

Some school discount extra reccomendations whereas some dont mind.
But you should check the site, it should tell you about “surplus” reccomendations. And how they deal with surplus reccomendations.
And it probably won’t hurt, but I’d still check the site to see if they accept them.
I think the extra letter would be a valuable asset to your application.
Good luck!
