Drama at university?

I am going to university to do english literature in september but i have to take on two other subjects for the 1st year (that the way it works!). I’ve never done drama before, would i fin it difficult to get to grips with the subject? Do you have to be good at acting, because I tend to get nervous when I try to act? Also, would it help myliterary analysis much, or is it a very technical subject?

Drama may be the only subject that you will find really helpful after graduation. Indeed, at drama lessons you will develop your self-confidence and skills vital for speaking on public.

However, it is very technical and rehearsals may eat all your precious free time.

I wish I had taken an acting course…I am a business major, and I understand that acting can eliminate a fear of public speaking.

You will be giving a lot of presentations for english literature, so take acting classes, and you will give them with “flare”.

Who knows…you may become a multi-millionaire and it would be all because you fell in love with acting and now command $30,000,000 a film!
