What are some good Extra Curricular activities that look good for college?

I am about to start my sophomore year of high school, but I’m starting to get worried about college. I think that I should start some sort of extra curricular activity so that I can put it on my college application, but I can’t think of anything. Sports won’t work out, and I’m already volunteering at a local hospital.

Perhaps get involved in the arts, or school clubs. If you have any hobbies or special interests (like painting, sewing, photography, music, etc), try taking advanced classes in those subjects and getting involved through competitions and outside projects. It is really impressive to be devoted to a certain activity. If you don’t know one just yet, try joining clubs that may be of interest to you. Keep volunteering, that’s great. And keep track of what you’re doing. You’ll have to list extra curricular activities on your college applications, and you want to list as many as possible.

Also keep in mind that while extra currics are important, so is your academic record. Don’t wear yourself out, and definitely don’t compromise your grades for extra curricular activities.

question man
dont worry too much i never did anything and got into UNLV which is harder to get into every year of course i am in state but if you do really well on your SATs or just keep your GPA up thats more important also check the percentage of whatever school you want to go to like out of state and in state and if its that low try picking up some sport or community service. best of luck to you i jsut started college and its a blast i love it so enjoy :)!
