Oooh, another future Tartan.

Sure, you probably can. It depends on what school you’re going for, and it also depends on your SAT scores, your LORs, your extracurricular activities and your essay. If you want to get into engineering, your math and science grades may matter a lot.

I was in the Drama department. I don’t think they really cared about GPA. *g* Good luck! It’s a great school and a great location to be in college. (Stay outta DTD if they’re still around. Bad frat. Bad. *g*)

Yes. GPA is only 1 part of the application. I just visited CMU and our guide who was an admissions director said that GPA was overrated. It really depends on extracurricular activities, volunteering, and interests. GPA won’t make or break your application for CMU, it is those things above that will. (Also a little bit SATs).

not purely do you have an excellent educational profile, yet you have a nicely rounded after schoolactivity checklist. i comprehend that berkly and carnagie purely different than some thing like 23% of the human beings who prepare, yet i thnk with an excellent essay you have a stable shot. stable success
