Does it really matter which college you go to? Currently I am a freshman studying business…?

Well, I am attending a small private school in St. Louis. I live 5 hours from the college. My school has a poor academic reputation but it is cheap as I only have $1,500 in loans this year.

The problem with this college is that it is so isolated that no one knows about it. So it will be impossible to find a job /internship in the summer.

Anyway, there is a community college/ adult learning college that is 10 minutes away from my house (5 hours away). People take night classes there from 5PM to 9PM every weekday. Even my hometown is a very depressing area as there are no jobs as well. But maybe I would be able to find a job back at home.

I mean, I know I will have a hard time finding a job either way. But what would you do?

I wanted to go to school in San Francisco but my family would not allow me to. Any way you look at, my life sucks and I will never be anything because my family would never let me do anything.

Don’t get depressed. If you’re motivated, you can make something of yourself no matter what. A big name college makes it easier, but it’s not the only route. You might be better off cost-wise and academically to get an associates at your local community college and a bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois or University of Missouri, depending on which is in your home state. They are both well-known. If the school is in St. Louis, it should at least be reasonably well-known there, and you should be able to find a job in St. Louis.

Anyways, also remember that lots of people spend the summer after their freshman years collecting shopping carts or making hamburgers or something like that, but end up getting good jobs when they’re done with college.

besides to networking with alumni, you’re able to attain out to expert businesses which contain +national association of Black Accountants +association of Latino experts in Finance & Accounting you are able to truly circulate into an more desirable ranked college. I believe different posters that at age 18+, you’re able to have the means to take the accountability of choosing your man or woman college. it will be somewhat extra frustrating going into the recruiting technique yet your decision and dedication on your occupation of determination can conquer this impediment. interior the intervening time, i might advise focusing your undergraduate occupation in finance, accounting, and economics, in case you have an interest in commencing up a occupation in investment banking.

if the junior college has a better rep take most classes there.

if your parents are asking you to go to a bad college in a depressed Job market are they setting you up to fail?

would you be better off striking out on your own and maybe doing college part time and working to support yourself?

or sticking it out and then applying fro MBA program at a better school?

check out your finances and options.

make some business decisions.

and research and

ask ask ask many experts and then formulate your own decisions.

school counselors can help advise too.

good luck
