Law schools take people from a variety of school sizes and under-grad majors, although of course they prefer someone who has had some classes in law or government. If you haven’t taken any classes like that, in your personal essay you will REALLY need to lay out exactly why you want to be a lawyer even though you didn’t choose to study it in undergrad and why you are more qualified than someone who did. However, the most important things schools look at are your LSAT scores and your GPA. If your GPA wasn’t good when you graduated, then you might be in trouble. My school’s law advisors say a 3.0 MINIMUM.

Law school, from what I’ve heard, is very tough. A lot of reading and the classes are very strict. Law school advisors have told me that exams in law schools have strict rules–you may have to take a thumb print, or you might be assigned to a seat and have your picture taken so that the teacher knows that you are you! There is a LOT of reading and the first year is supposed to be very hard work.
