No. They don’t. It is prohibited and if caught penalties are sometimes severe. Your previous classes are history, gone and done with it. The professor could see the grades in your present class and nothing else.
Of course, for special circumstances they could but it is not as easy as it sounds.
Now, something important you should know:
-If you do not want anyone to look or check out your records, which includes grades, address, telephone number, etc, most universities or colleges are bound to the Privacy Act for all of its students, staff, and workers.
-So, go to the registrar office and sign a very simple form and no one but you could see your records, or someone “with your permission only”.

you nevertheless have all those emails, precise? Print them out now, so which you do not forget approximately. Your first step is to touch the chair of your professor’s branch. in basic terms after that ought to you pass to the dean. in case you have written evidence that he suggested you have been getting an A devoid of taking the main suitable, then i think of you have a solid case for eye-catching your grade. you’re able to desire to examine your pupil instruction manual for particular suggestion on the grade attraction technique – each and every college is distinctive.

With all the new laws about the confidentiality of personal information, all schools should have policies prohibiting employees from having access to information unless it is needed for the individual to perform their job. Therefore, most faculty should not have access to student academic history/personal information. However, if a faculty member needs it to do their job (i.e. they are also an advisor) then they would. However (again) they should not access any record unless they have a business purpose to do so.

No, there are zero reasons for obtaining that kind of data and so privacy laws prevail. They also wouldn’t even have the technical access to the student records on a system. The only ones in a college would be your counseling and records staff which obviously need the information to do their services for you.

i myself have always wondered this too. It always made me wonder if they were bias and saw, well if you passed this really hard class… then maybe I should pass you too so i don’t look too tough. but they can not, because that is private and should be confidential. your advisor can see your grades though. also something bizarre, on the roster for my college class…it always would mention if they were an athlete.. now i always found that odd… although i’m sure there is a logical reason such as being excused for game days..but still!! 🙂 good luck.

As far as I know, no. It’s a privacy matter. Only the head people at the university can see all the grades. They won’t even tell your spouse or parents.

No, that’s none of their business. Well, if there are prerequisites they can make sure you passed them with the required grade, but that’s it.

They can if they want to. But they won’t do that, unless there is a good enough reason….
