Can you PLEASE help me with this problem????

Assume that classes are largerthis year because the college did not hire as many teachers as it had in the past, despite the fact the number of students grew to 7,600–an increase of 1.93%. (a) What was the enrollment last year? (Round the nearest whole number). (b) How many more students are attending classes this year?

Ok, I always got a little mixed up by the “increased by x%” questions, but if I remember correctly, it goes like this:

Let x be the number of students enrolled last year.

x + 0.0193x = 7600

1.0193x = 7600

x =7600/1.0193

x= approx. 7456

How many more students are attending:

7600-7456 = 144
