!!! Can a resident or intern doctor request to work alongside another doc. if a patient’s case is interesting?
An intern on my floor was assigned to one wing of the hospital (and suddenly is now partnered with another intern as well) on a different side and on a new patient. Can he request to add on another pt. like that????
I guess my question is: Can you request to work and/or shadow with another resident on a new patient (in addition to yourold patients of course, still treating them.)

Can’t hurt of ask your supervisor. Just make sure your patients care does not suffer as a result.
