Is it harder to transfer from a Cal State to another Cal State, or from a community college to a Cal State?

I am currently enrolled in a cal state, and I want to transfer to another cal state. I want to know if it would be easier to transfer from a community college or from my cal state.

The key factors affecting ANY transfer hinge more on:

1) Your major: if the major is “impacted” (in very high demand with more applicants than vacancies) at the destination CSU, it won’t matter where you are coming from…they don’t have enough room.

2) Subjective criteria that may not be known to you, may not be publicly announced or even spoken, implemented officially or unofficially at the destination CSU for whatever reason…

3) possibly the level of competition to apply to and get into the destination CSU.

You can get some idea of the impacted programs and levels/degrees of competitiveness by speaking with transfer counselors at the destination college. While counselors at your college may know about these, you want to get the info directly from the mouths fo the admissions people at your destination college.

Hope this helps. Best wishes in your transfer.

Cal Poly Pomona is somewhat remoted, besides the shown fact that it is not that undesirable. You gottapersistent everywhere in l. a.. SF State is on the incorrect area of something exciting in SF (different than Stonestown mall perchance). you’re able to circulate sparkling throughout city. except you have a automobile (and having a automobile is an excellent discomfort interior the butt in SF), it will take you in basic terms as long to get downtown most of the time because it might to circulate from Pomona to someplace greater exciting in l. a.. My vote is going for Cal Poly Pomona.
