I was once in this position, but decided to go another route and not live on campus. I truly believe that your pets are an important part of your life, and working towards something as precious as a college education requires all of your energy — mental, emotional and physical…That said, bringing along your furry companion can be a VERY important part of the decision-making process. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is just jealous that you are smart AND sensitive.
I only know of one university (off the top of my head) that allows pets… Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. It is a beautiful school. Good luck in your search!!! 🙂
