Are online colleges good?

Can you get an actual bachelor’s degree, one equivalent to a degree from a “go to” university?

Yes,

I have Degrees from both “go to” and “online” universities and they are very equivalent. The only thing you need to do is make sure your University is regionally accredited. The accreditation committee is the group that says that their degrees are rigorous enough to meet the standards for that degree.

Yes! As an Army Soldier and a current educational counselor for the Army, I can full-heartedly say yes.

I got my AS, BS, MA, and now my MDiv all online. They are from regionally accredited schools and not employer has ever questioned my credentials. I also teach on-ground classes so I know a thing or two about the system. However, online classes are NOT easier than on-ground classes. Make sure you are disciplined enough to follow through. Remember, you are paying for this education. Learn something.

Depending on what you’re hoping to acheive, it may or may not be a good idea. I know people that have gotten their bachelor’s degrees from 4-year schools, and then their teaching credentials from Chapman, online. However, if you want to get a full college experience, I would definately recommend a 4-year school. And also, to take time to travel abroad. Socially, it’s great.
