Yeah they are. Classes is smaller an more one-to-one. Teachers get to know you a lot and be famaliar with you thus you get more cooperation. Only if your cool with them and get to know them a little more then the rest of the students. The atmosphere is GREAT!!!!! I know from experience.

Basically 2 year colleges are just for your basics. The first two years at any university or college are all about getting the basics out of the way.

I would think that it depends on where you live as to how that would affect the class size, and teachers.

I went to a 2 year college many years ago in a very large city and found that the class sizes were small (30 or less) to large (30 to 50+) students depending on the subject matter.

I am also attending a 4 year year university that has a branch at the town I live in about 50 miles (one way) from the university. The classes that I attended there( at the branch) tended to be on the small size ( 15 to 30).

Hope this is of some help.

A lot different. With a two year school you’ll graduate with an Associates degree, which is not as good as a 2 year degree. Also professors at 4 year schools have to meet higher academic standards. They usually have their PhD or highest degree in their subject, while this is not required at a 2 year school.

You will receive a much better and more thorough education at a 4 year school and you will graduate with a degree that gives you more job opportunities. 99% of employers will hire a person with a 4 year degree over a 2 year degree.

2 year schools usually only offer an AA degree, while at “regular” 4 year ones you can earn a BA. Generally, there are more classes and better educated teachers.

It is much less expensive and a really good way to get all the pre-reqs before going to the more expensive 4 yr. college.
